Warning – this article is from the P.O.V of a summer baby.
Today, as I was journaling in the garden where I live, I was absolutely mesmerized by the energy that summer brings. The birds were chirping, the sun was brimming, the trees were bright and alive and so was I! There is a feeling of hope and warmth that summer brings me that never fails to motivate me and in that moment, I was inspired to ramble on about why I think summer is the best season to exist to anyone who will listen. P.S: It isn’t only because I was born in February!
Besides summer being the perfect time to wear those shorts and show off that beautiful skin, I truly believe that it is one of the most productive seasons of the year! Here are a number of reasons why I believe so:
1. We have increased daylight hours!
During the summer, daylight hours are longer than any other time of the year. This can be a big advantage for productivity. More daylight means more time to get things done, and the natural light can help boost your energy and mood. With more hours of sunlight, you can work longer without feeling as tired, and you may even find yourself getting more done in a shorter amount of time.
2. The weather is better!
In many parts of the world, summer weather is warm and sunny, which can make it easier to be productive. When the weather is pleasant, it can be more motivating to get out of the house and tackle your to-do list. Additionally, warmer weather can increase your focus and help you feel more alert, which can translate into increased productivity. Bonus point, it is also the perfect weather to look cute in dresses, shorts, skirts and bikini’s!
3. I am always in a better mood and more motivated!
Summer can be a great season for productivity because it’s a time when many people feel happier and more motivated. The warm weather, increased daylight, and outdoor activities can help boost your mood and energy levels, which can make it easier to focus and get things done.
4. There are fewer distractions!
Summer can be a great time to get work done because there are typically fewer distractions. Many people take vacations during the summer, which can mean fewer emails, phone calls, and meetings. Additionally, summer activities like barbecues and pool parties may be fun, but they’re typically not as demanding on your time as holiday activities during the winter months.
With all that said, my only request for you is to take advantage of this productive energy. It is only a matter of time before the days are darker and shorter – start that business, tackle that to-do list, take a walk, go on that vacation!
With much love from myself.
